1.I know that the nazi' s took over Germany on January of the year 1933.

2.I know that about 6 million jews were killed by the nazi's.

3.Also I know that "holocaust" is a greek word that means "sacrificing with/by fire.

As i heard my step-mother talking to my father about how they should

take my brother gretel and i to the forest and just give us a loaf of bread and just leave us there and not come back for us, that just made me really scared i

started thinking about how i was going to die there of hunger with my brother.

After my father and step-mother went to sleep my brother and i went outside to get white

pebbles for us to put on the floor while we are walking towards the forest with my father

& step-mother. When i heard them talking i heard that my father did not want to leave us in the forest by ourselves and she tried to change what she was saying but he couldn't as

always she never listens to him. As she came and woke us up in the morning she

gave us a loaf of bread and told us to eat it for dinner later on.

When we where all walking i was walking slower and putting the white pebbles on the floor

at the same time for us to return to my father's home later on.

When we got to the forest my father lit a fire with lots of wood for us to just rest there and sleep there he had told us that he was going to go and cut some more wood,

when he really was just going to leave us there.Later in the night we followed the

pebbles and returned home by the morning.We knocked on the door and my step-mother

opened the door, she looked shocked to see us she was not expecting

for us to return home. It was late again and we supposibly went to sleep when

we really didn't, once again my brother and i were hearing what that woman was telling

my father, She told him that for us to not come back again she will take us deeper into the forest, when i tried to go out and get more pebbles i noticed

that she had locked the door, so there was no way for us to get any pebbles.

The next day she woke us up again in the morning, she gave us some more bread but this

time it was less than last time.Once again they both (my father & step-mother)

left us alone in the woods telling us the same thing.This time

there was no way for my brother and i to go back home.We then saw a white

bird it was singing,after the beautiful song was over the bird left

we followed it and it took us to a home that had the ceiling made of bread,and the windows made of sugar. My brother and i started eating thats when a woman opened the

door she offered us food and two wonderful beds. The time passed she gave us some

food to eat,and we then went to sleep.The next morning i noticed that my brother was not there. The woman had told me that my brother was locked in a little stable and that

i shall cook food that will get him fat for her to later eat my brother.Thats when i noticed

that the woman was really an evil witch. After that the witch told me to help her

see if the oven is heated well enough.But she tried to get me into it.

I told her i didn't know how to get in instead she got in & i closed the oven and she burned

to death. After that i went to go get my brother from the small stable.Later we tried

to get home but first we had to cross a river and we had to go on top of a white duck to

cross the river.After walking a little we started seeing my father's home.

I was glad we were back at home, my brother gretel was very excited we knocked

on the door...and my father opened it,he told us that our step-mother was dead.

& we lived happily ever after

When i first saw her she was very beautiful i had no words to explain it.I don't know why but the first day i was very nervous around her i couldn't be nowhere close to her. Although she does talk very much, and she tought that every animal is a treasure and every one of them is welcome anytime. Everything there is she names it somehow it just comes to her mind and its like she knows everything. I am not as bright as she is but im learning from her. Somethings i like the most about her is that she seems to know many things that i don't.

She cannot do things she wants to do just because he wouldn't let her.In the story the woman finds out that her husband is dead thats what her sister told her she was shocked and her sister tought that she was going to burst out crying she later went into her house and locked herself in there she was so happy and cheerful to know that her husband was dead and later her sister went to visit her, she did not want to open the door and her sister kept begging.When she finally open the door her sister asked her are you okay she said she was and that she was so happy because she was finally free to do anything she wanted.After a while there was a knock on the door and it was her husband she was so shocked that she dropped DEAD.

This story was about a man who was blind.He did not use a walking stick,and he had to work for a living he sold pencils.In the summer he knocks on peoples doors and asks them if they would like to buy any pencils they would say no or either some of them wouldn't even be at their house because they went on a vacation or they just ignored him. Everytime he wanted to open a gate or ring the bell it took him a lot of time in order for him to those things, even though he would be walking and the sun was extremely hot people would just look at him and not even cross him to the other side of the street. Kids even want to steel pencils from him, He once went to a rich guy's house and he wanted to sell some pencils to him he told him to get out of his property and go sell them to someone else.Later as he was about to cross the street there were some big trucks a rich guy crossed the street without even looking to both sides of the street to see if any cars were coming, he was late to go see his family because they were going to go to their summer house somewhere & he got ranned on by the cars and died.The blind man didn't even notice that had happened he just heard people talking and "doctor".

Desiree's baby is mainly a story about racism it talks about how people that are white are the one's that boss the black ones around & the black are the slaves and servants of the white people.Its about a woman that is married and she has a child and then the start fighting only because the baby looks kind of black and the husband thinks that the woman is black then the wife leaves and when she does the husband starts burning all the things that the wife and the baby touched,SUDDENLY he found a letter were it said that his mother was black and his father was white!

"Dr.Heidegger's Experiment"

As I was talking to my friends i asked them if they believed that a rose that was about 50 years old could ever blossom again and they all say non sense. I showed them the rose and dropped it in the water.All of a sudden what i see was that it blossomed and started to change again. I then asked some of my friends if they wanted to help me with an experiment where all of them would have the chance to be young again and be able to change some of the mistakes that they all made. They all agreed with me and say yes, but i told them that i wasen't going to be a part of it though. When they drank the water they did get younger and i noticed that everytime they looked in the mirror they saw themselves as young,but when i saw them in the mirror they where old as they normally are.After a little while i noticed that they began getting old again and that the water that made them young would only last a while.

As Armand stood there with nothing to say just many things running through his mind, he did not know how to react to what he just read after treating his wife in such a bad way and not even wanting to talk to her because all this time he had thought that she was the one that was black,when he was the one that is black his wife is really white.

As he read the letter he did not know what to do weither he should send a letter to where his wife's mother lived and tell his wife or to just keep it a secret and forget about it.

Flowers for Algernon

If you were given a choice to have an operation that would make you much smarter, would you do it, especially if you knew the effects of the surgery would only be temporary? Why or why not?Use examples from the story.

If i were given the chance to have an operation in order to make me smarter i would and wouldn't have it done on me for many reasons.I would have the operation because in that way i will atleast have the chance to get to see what being smart is like, and if people treated me different if i got smart.I wouldn't do it because if i knew the operation would make me smarter was going to be temporary, and as the time passes i would lose everything that i once knew and for then for me to die. Also in the story there are some side effects in Algernon and he slowly began to get dumb and forget everything that he once got the chance to know and then algernon died.

I think that one problem that he is going to encounter is getting younger and forgetting everything he ever knew.This problem might be solved by someone taking care of him.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Today is March 18 of the year 1985...I remember this day as if it was the day my brother was born..it was my sister's birthday and we decided to make a party for her..we did not have enough money but although we still decided to make the party for her. Days before the party everyone in the family was working more in order to have money I was working around the house cleaning and washing the dishes, my mama was cooking, my brother was working outside planting crops, & my sister was doing her hair and cleaning her room. We called grandma to come over for the party and she did come but she brought her knitting tools and so she didn't do anything but knitt...

The Secret

It was my best friend's deepest, darkest secret and it would be a hard one to keep. I didn't know what to do weither to tell someone or to just keep it a secret so i decided to keep it a secret and not tell anyone. I remeber exactly what she told me in school during the afternoon. She wrote me a note telling me that she was pregnant and i told her if the father of the baby knew she told me that he did and i asked her if any of her family members knew she told me that they didn't only her godmother..and i also asked her if she was going to tell them later on.She told me that she was but that she was scared on what they were going to say and i told her not to worry because i was going to be here for her during the times she needed me to try and help her out with any situations or problems she had.Thats what friends are for.

Her Mysterious Death

Her death was due to mysterious circumstances and I was assigned to the case. I had just came back from my days off and they told me that I had a new case to solve in this case it was about a girl whose name was caitlyn nixon she happened to be 18 years old, white, green eyes, about 5’4 tall.She was found dead in a river the river happened to be the mississippi river and there was a near by hotel by there I went to go see if caitlyn was checked in that hotel and I found out she was.Later I decided to ask a person at the main desk if Caitlyn’s family was still in the hotel the person at the main desk in the lobby told me that they were and so I told them to give me the room number and so they did. The room number was 315 when I went inside the room I had introduced myself “Hi my name is katy” they had asked me why was I there for apparently they did not know that their daughter was found dead in the river and I told them that she was found there dead they were preety devastaded and I asked them a few questions about the family, and about her personal life. I did not know yet weither this was a suicide or a homicide.
I asked her mother weither Caitlyn had a boyfriend or any problems at school she told me that she did have a boyfriend but they broke up not to long a go they broke up because she was cheating on him and he found out by one of her friends and she didn’t have problems at school she was one of the girls that loved to study and hang out with her friends. By what she said I already suspected many things. Yet I still did not know if it was a suicide or a homicide. So after this I went to the crime scene and I decided to take Caitlyn to a laboratory for an autopsy to be made. She had a forensic autopsy in that autopsy they try and find out the cause of the death. In the autopsy answers I found out that she had been raped, and after that someone strunggled her. I was shocked, but after knowing this I went back to the hotel and I went back to the family’s room knocked and no one answered the door I saw a housekeeper and asked her that what happened to the family that was here not to long ago she told me that they had left that morning.This seemed preety suspicious. I decided to call my partner Jacky I told her to try and figure out were the NIXON’S family lived.
Later jacky called me back and she told me that they lived in beverly hills..So then I thought to myself why would they be near the mississippi river and not in beverly hills these seemed suspicicous and so I decided to go to beverly hills..i went to their home and i saw the whole family again but this time I saw them with their daughters boyfriend the guy was at her house and I said hello to all of them but then I asked them that why had they left they told me that they had some business to be made and I asked them what kind of business..they all got nervous and did not answer..UNTIL SOMEONE STOOD UP AND SAID OKAY I CAN’T STAND IT ANYMORE...you can’t stand what anymore I asked and he said all these questions…HE SAID I DID IT I KILLED HER it was caitlyn’s BOYFRIEND..!!!!!!!!

Make logandale a better school

I think that many things will make logandale a better school. In my opinion, there are three different ways on how the school can be better. One is that there could be better afterschool activities. Another is that they should have new exploratory classes. Also for the principal to listen to the students opinions and to what they say. Wouldn’t you like to be in school where there is fun afterschool programs or an afterschool sports team.
My first change is there could be better afterschool activities. The afterschool activities could be something fun instead of having a program where you learn.There could be a pom pons or a cheerleading team for the girls and for the guys there could be a sports club. So in that way many more students can join this school. Better afterschool activities would make logandale increase its population of students. Don’t you think?
My second way is that there could be new exploratory classes. For example there could be a music class that would help logandale because there are many students that are interested in learning how to play a musical instrument and that would make the students not transfer to another school. Also there could be a drama club, where students would have the opportunity to learn to act. Potery classes would make the art classes better. Or what other exploratory classes would you like to have?
My third way to make logandale better would be for the principal to listen to the students opinions and to what they say. I think that this would make logandale better because sometimes when the students try telling or explaining something to one person in the school’s staff they won’t listen. When the principal asks us about some ideas that we have for the luncheon or something we tell him a lot of ideas but he dosen’t seem to listen to them. Everytime we say something or give our opinion on something no one seems to listen and when it’s a problem with a teacher they won’t believe the students. What would you do in our place?
In conclusion, I think that many things would make logandale a better school. There could be better afterschool activities,new exploratory classes, and the principal could listen to the students opinions and to what they say. If you wanted to make the school you’re attending to be better, what would you do?

Estefany's life story

I remember the day my daughter Estefany was born it was March 15 around 3:40 in the afternoon.When i was in labor it was a Premature labour i remember the doctor telling me that there were chances for her to either live or die because her lungs weren't that developed,she was very small,she couldn't eat by herself,she had a very hard time trying to survive in the hospital she was born at 6months of pregnancy and she stayed at the hospital for about a month...when it was time to name her i didn't know what to name her thats when her dad came up with the name Estefany......gladly she survived and i got to take her home a month after being in the hospital. I was very happy, the whole family was at our house when we went in the door.The time passed by so fast the next thing i saw was that she had grown up already she is 14 right now,the years go by fast,and thinking that one day or another she is going to move out of the house and have a family of her own makes me want to wish for her to be the little girl that used to play with toys. Time goes by fast and theres nothing that i can do to try and slow it down but im happy for her to go to school and have a better chance of education than i did. I may not know everything that she has been through in her life right now,but i know that when theres something wrong with her i will always be there for her.

Immigration and Border

I wish for Barack Obama to try and stop the things that immigration is causing for example it is causing for people to get deported and that means that families are getting separated from each other. I would like for him to change this because even though I don’t know the people that are getting deported its still sad to have to see that families are getting separated for no cause and I.C.E does not care, theres a lot of things I hate about I.C.E that they say that just because some mexicans are undocumented and don’t have papers they say that they are criminals as if they were doing something really bad. I think that mexicans shouldn’t be criminals because even though yes some mexicans are here undocumented its because they are trying to get a good life, good future, and if they have a family they think its even better for them to be here in the U.S..So why do you call them criminals?!....
Another thing that Obama should try to work on is on the Immigration Reform, I think he should try and fix this because it would really change the way american people think about mexicans because sometimes american people are racist with mexicans because the americans say that we mexicans are criminals, and that we shouldn’t be here…I think that American people have forgotten about what Lincoln said that everyone should be threated equally no matter where they are from, and an Immigration Reform would make a big difference for us Mexicans!!!!

Life-Changing Event

One of my life changing events was when my brothers were born. Well it all starts when i was 7yrs old and thats when my now 7 yr old brother was born 7yrs later my other brother was born which means right now the baby is 7 months old. My life changed when my brothers were born because i was an only child and well i got everything i wanted but now with both of my brothers i feel left out,and invisible because my parents treat them different than how they treat me they get everything they want and i don't i just feel invisible around everyone in my family.Sometimes i get in trouble for everything and before when i was an only child i liked having everything i wanted but the problem was that i felt lonely and so thats why my parents decided to give me a little brother.

I am happy with my brothers right now but sometimes they get annoying.First of all the 7 year old Michael gets annoying because he is always going into my room and grabbing my things without permission, and well thats annoying and if i don't let him borrow them im the one that gets in trouble, and my other brother Anthony the 7 month old baby he gets annoying sometimes because all he does sometimes is cry but the thing i like about my baby(brother) is that he is always smiling, and most of the time even when he is sick he smiles...

Parents are the best teachers

I agree that parents are the best teachers for three reasons because the parents are the ones that teach the kids everything,also the parents are there for when their children need them, and the parents taught us how to be responsible.Would you agree or disagree with me?

My first reason is that our parents were the ones that taught us everything because they taught us how to walk and our parents are also the ones that saw us take our first steps, one important thing that our parents also taught us is how to read and write and those are things we use in our everyday life.Our parents also taught us from what's right and whats wrong.Don't you think?

Second reason, our parents were always there for when we needed them because i know that parents will be there for when you need them, it doesn't matter if it's a hard time or not they are there for you because they care. When you were little and you used to fall either in the park or from the bike they were there to pick you up and help you.Also sometimes they might be harsh or get mad at you for anything but its probably because they care and because they want the best for their children.Weren't your parents there for you every time you needed them the most?

Lastly my third reason, Our parents taught us something very important in life which is RESPONSIBILITY. One thing about responsibility that they taught us was to do the homework everyday and if we didn't understand something they were there to help us out.Also they taught us how to take care of ourselves when they weren' t there and how to take care of things that aren't ours and how to respect older people.Don't you think responsability is a very important thing in life?

In conclusion, i agree that parents are the best teachers because they are the ones that thaught us everything, they were always there for when we needed them, and they taught us how to be responsable. What do you think, are they or aren't they the best teachers?

...A Skill Everyone Needs...

An important skill that everyone should know in order to be succesful in life should be to know different languages.My first reason is because if you know more languages you get a better chance of getting a better job. My second reason is its interesting to know different languages and,Lastly my third reason is because you'll know more things than the people that only know one language.

One example for my first reason is that if you go apply for a job and they ask you,okay how many languages do you know? and you answer two or more and another person that is applying for the same job as you then probably theres a better chance that the person that said two or more is going to get the job.I think of this because it might be true sometimes in jobs they don't want to hire a person that only knows one language,they rather hire someone with a good apparence and someone who haves a great education.That's why its important to finish high school and college because if you want to be someone important in life and not get bossed around in a job then you should think more about yourself and decide to be the boss of what you do and what you work on.In addition to this you want to be known as an important person in life.....

Another example for my second reason, is that if you want to go to a place like Mexico you need to know spanish or else what would you do if you dont, thats why i think its very important to learn another language and not just know your native language.Its important to know another language because if someone need help on something or if something is really important and that person comes from another place and speaks a different language then how are you going to help if you're not going to understand, thats why its important to learn another language. Also in high school you're going to have to join different language classes in the semesters in order to be better and more successful in high school and in college.

Lastly my third example,People that like to learn new things sometimes get very interested in learning another language in high school, they might get interested because its something new that you are learning.(Sometimes dosen't your parent's tell you that they want the best for you?)I know that to me they do and well its probably because they didn't get the opportunity to finish school, and now they don't have the career that they wanted to have,now thats why they want the best for us because "we the students are the people for tommorow". Its very interesting to lern something new,some poeple don't like to go to school and learn but later on in life you're going to see that it was worth it because your're going to be someone in life.Think about it its the opportunity to be someone better in life.

!THE BEST DAY EVER!

The best day ever for me would be when my baby (brother) was born that was in July 17, 2008. His name is Anthony and well i was happy because a new baby in the house meant happyness in the house i was glad about that..Today February 17th he turned 7 months...Although it gets pretty annoying sometimes the fact that you need to make him go to sleep,wash the bottles, play with him,make him happy and sometimes he wakes up early in the morning sometimes at 6:00 or 7:00 o' clock in the morning. When my mom works i need to help around the house and with the baby and so sometimes i can't even do anything i want to do(so it kind of sucks)!!Something i really like about him is that he is always smiling. Its kind of fun to have a baby in the house at the same time because knowing that one day he is going to grow and he is not going to be the same so might as well take advantage of it.

When I looked at her Smile,I knew she was up to something.....

I asked myself i wonder what she is up to...so i went up to her...and said HI she replied hey. how have you been?...i told her i've been good...i asked her how about with you?.she said oh i think okay.i asked why "i think okay" she told me because....i think "IM PREGNANT".I asked her who was the father but she did not want to tell me.After that i just stood there..i was shocked about the idea that she was going to be a mother soon..but i asked her "how did she feel about the idea that she was not going to be able to go to school until she had the baby(probably), how she was not going to be able to be with her friends anymore as much is she was with them before, she looked worried,scared,but she was just quiet.I decided to give her some advice and try to make her feel better. I asked what are you going to do know and the only thing she responded was " I don't know". She was afraid about what her parents might think of her and about what they would to to her.I told her that if she had already taken the test to see if she was pregnant she told me she hadn't, but she did tell me that her stomach hurted, and that she felt dizzy. I told her to take the pregnancy test, and so she did the next day she came running to me...i told her "hey what happened",She told me GUESS WHAT i told her what? she said happily "IM NOT PREGNANT" and i was happy to know she wasen't..so i just smiled backk....=)
